It is best if it slopes back as that is often needed for the travel of the cross slide.does the splash back need to be bent and angled too

Just make sure the splash back comes into the swarf tray, otherwise coolant will drip onto the floor behind the lathe.slopes back should be ok as the chip tray slopes up and back too
ha ha oh yes that much I figured out thanksJust make sure the splash back comes into the swarf tray, otherwise coolant will drip onto the floor behind the lathe.
Yes, my wee conect 121 CNC had the tool holder feature added by myself, very handy. My splashback for the Tri-Leva is the side from an old washing machine - no need to paint it and I just made it to clip over the edge of the splash tray in the manner of @Hood . Holds all my 'ready-loaded' tool holders at hand too.
I thought you would but to be honest I deal with Fishermen and a lot of them (not all) need everything spelled out in the smallest detail

any pics mate? of the full thing and the clips just to give me some ideas please.
i have some rectangle box section here i could cut the side out and slide it over the edge of the tray drill and tap it in a few places for the bolts then attach the splash back to that
But if he does overthink he may win the prize and can splash out on something lovely (pun was intended )Don't overthink it - it's a splashback, not an entry for the Turner Prize.
You could probably get away with 2 or 3 bits along the length rather than full length. Then again you may get a kick out of ripping up some boxi have some rectangle box section here i could cut the side out and slide it over the edge of the tray drill and tap it in a few places for the bolts then attach the splash back to that
