I thought the other lathe was for storing bits on.Who needs a storage rack? Is that not what the floor is for?
Mine certainly is. And the mill table. Flypress. Everything has stuff on atm.

Also I am an untidy basket and tend to thrive in clutterAye, mine is the same, too much stuff in my workshop to store nicely.
Aye. Same here. I do like a good clean up twice a yearAlso I am an untidy basket and tend to thrive in clutter

Can add a lot of new stuff to a garage in 6 months. Add even more to the lock up and excess materials need shifting. As often as that?

Is your wall wood covered and lathe against it? If so just screw the piece of alloy to it and have the bottom going into the drip trap.
Backsplashes are nothing more than a sheet of metal with the edge folded to keep them from flexing. I made one from a cable tray lid. If you're going to use a timber wall with a lip to divert the chips/coolant into the tray, make sure you give the wall a good coat of gloss paint first then the mess will wipe off, otherwise it'll soak into the wood and turn it soggy. Also the white background will improve the lighting a lot.
put a fold on the left to keep the crud from going behind the headstock too
looks great my only issue is bending it nicely! My splashback.
A piece of 5mm chequer plate I picked up at the scrappy. Fixed to the wall. It allows full travel for my taper attachment, too.
