I honestly never thought a 3D printer would see as much use as it has here and for practical stuff too. Best present I ever bought my lad I reckon! Just a few, in use everyday still:
-House numbers
-PCB spacers
-Petrol cap
-Windscreen washer bottle cap
-Fridge handles
-Wood turning jig (it melted)
-Cabinet feet
-Mobile phone stands
-Patio table repair thingies
-Light surrounds (to hide ragged holes in brickwork)
-Tool holders
-Battery adapters
Sure I've missed lots more.

My printer turned up today with loads of missing parts like height probe, levelling software sd card and numerous brackets

They must have sold you the Chinese Prusa clone I returned to Amazon four years ago.
They kept saying they were on holiday . The You Tube links were a pair of skinny kids trying to build the machine instead of enclosing a decent legible handbook with the kit. . Even worse the seven tube clips showed four different models or upgraded machines , nothing like the machine I'd purchased for £ 360 ish

Useful info. The official Creality store I bought from, don't understand the words "Customer Service". I have been in correspondence with them for a week about a faulty fan that sounds like a jet engine. They give all sorts of hoops to jump through and have now stopped communicating. The last nonsense was that they wanted a photo. A PHOTO? of a NOISE? Then they asked for a video, so I sent them a recording of the noise on a video with the lens obscured...
"Dear customer,
We are so sorry,
Your video is a black screen and cannot be viewed.
Please kindly check. "
I explained that is is a recording of the NOISE but now they they don't respond. I may be looking into a Section 75 claim just now!

Only he uses it. I can't use Fusion or Cura, only AutoCAD. Nor can I use / set up the 3D printer. Keep meaning to learn but life gets in the way!
I tend to come up with the ideas and say print this. Just had him do a lithophane of the pub (the one in my pub sign thread). Might have been better in white...
They prefer videos (or photos if more suitable), as it means they can see the problem, and avoids any issues caused by translation.It seems to be. The person dealing with emails isn't likely to be the person making decisions about warranty, so a short video of the problem means they can forward it to whoever deals with warranty, and minimise translation issues.
