silly question the files on there... will they work on any 3dprinter
Yes. The .stl file that you download gets loaded into a "slicer" program like Cura which you tell about your printer. I have mine to load automatically when I click on an .stl file. From there, you see a representation of the item on a virtual print bed so that you can check its orientation, size and position. You can tweak those if you wish, so for example you can take something like a key fob and make three times, or half the size. You can load multiple parts to the bed if you wish, so that the parts all print together. You will have to move them about to give them room of course.
All you do is press the "slice" button once you are happy. That tells you how long it will take and how much filament it will use. It saves .gcode file onto a micro SD card that you put into the printer and off you go.
