Ive got 4 Pis, plus 2 orange pi zero's doing various things at the minute, ive installed webmin on them all, bootup and shutdown screen let's me disable what I want and check what's running
Means I can run a test instance with one ssh login, doesn't affect performance, even on the orange Pis

Got to figure out how to flash the firmware before I can fit it. I'll be damned if I can get it updated. Tried some of the tips mentioned online, it's having none of it. It'll be some totally stupid reason when I finally figure it out.

So Ive printed something I am especially proud of.
My dad flies model aircraft, nitro powered things. Hes crashed a few which gets a bit expensive.
One of his faves is a German Stuka. He managed to destroy the fibreglass cowl (hides the engine) and they are 60quid to replace.
So, i found a Stuka model on thingiverse, i tried to edit the model in design spark but it was having none of it. Turns out design spark isnt a fan of mesh models, so i installed meshmixer.
With mesh mixer i cut the model up so i just had the front bit i wanted. I then used the tool to make it hollow.
Exported to cura and hit print.
It printed fantastic, I just now need to make it bigger to fit on the plane.
Cant believe how easy it was.
I dont have any 3d cad background and only picked up a 3d printer last month. My pc is a laptop from 2012 to so you dont need fancy imacs etc.
Ill only be charging my dad 55 quid.

Trouble at t’mill…
Over the last week, my print quality has gone downhill. The case on the left is a standard quality print that I did last week. Now all of my prints are as per the one on the right. I have tried various things, one of which was to make the thickness a multiole of nozzle size (0.4mm - 1.2mm wall). I also tried printing at better quality settings and going from 20% to 100% infill. Nothing seems to help.
Before printing this one, I noticed that the carriage was notchy, so I spent a while giving it a clean and setting up. It seems not to have achieved anything.
Any ideas where to look please?

I spent a bit more time going through all the mechanics and cleaning the nozzle last night. It looked OK on a small print so started an eight hour overnight print. That seems to have worked fine, all except for a small, raised scar both sides which I have seen on my module cases too. This print was done vertically.
Are all the raised bits, identical on all prints?
If they are, they're likely where the nozzle starts/finishes/moves across on that layer.
Given they've suddenly became more prominent, I'd be double checking everything is tight, check the filament (Is it fresh? Is it dry? Is the correct diameter?), then check the extrusion calibration is correct.
The raised scar looks a bit too consistent. What sllicer are you using? If you're using Cura, I'd go to preview, move to the layers where it's occurring, and zoom in to that area to see if there is anything visible within the preview.

Thank you both. I will investigate further. The print did its job for the car anyway. I covered it in chocolate coloured vinyl and it will be installed tomorrow.

Have you checked the wiring for the extruder to make sure it doesn't get caught by anything when the print head is at that particular stage?

I did a bit more investigation and found once again, the bed fouling on the servo housing at the back. More tweaking and it feels better so I am in the process of printing a calibration cat.

Calibration cat. The tail overhangs are a bit rough underneath, otherwise acceptable.
