if it is a wee round bean can looking one and the pipe goes round the back of the engine and then down to your slave on the bell housing,

point to note the cluch arms are notorious for allowing the slave cylinder piston to punch through them, usualy when your waiting at a junction or other inopertune moments, but almost never in your drive way

if it is hydraulic theres no adjustment, just swap out the fluid and bleed wia the nipple on the slave cylinder which is located at the pasangers side lower bell housing.

At least with a series LR you can change the clutch by pushing the gearbox back and work inside the cab!

that is one landrover i always wish i owned a series 2a swb,

my first landy was a c reg 90, the first of the turbo's and i was offerd a swap for a light weight 2 1/4petrol with lpg convertion complete with hard top, tilt and hoops and a 3/4t gs sankey trailor with cover, all still military spec and i turned the guy down.

Clutches are hydraulic. Some master cylinders have individual resevoirs (SIII) and some have a combined one (SI, SII & SIIa)

Use EP90 GL4 in gearbox, transfer box, steering box, swivels and axles.

You can use special grease in the swivels, but then you should not really use free-wheeing hubs.

Transfer box filler is on the rear face of the box, refer to the manuals.

Gearbox filler is either on the top or the left hand side. If it's on the top you may have a dipstick.

It would be worthwhile fitting wading kits to the axles as the breathers are notorious for blocking. A wading kit is a union and a length of plastic pipe with its end well above the predicted waterline.

Filler plugs on mine are half inch, made a tool by welding a busted torx socket and spare socket together so the two 1/2" sq recesses face outwards.
Works a treat, after cleaning up the plugs monkeyed by PO's...

Wilco do EP90 pretty cheap, and 20-50 (engine).

Thanks all it has a wadeing kit on all ready will get some oil and fill up all the required bits prehaps thats why they drip so that when they stop you know its empty

That would be OK for a plug with a square hole in it, the ones on mine have a male square head which needs a square socket.

Welding a couple of old sockets together = free

Nah, they just like to "mark" their territory!

Friend of mine was not too impressed when I left power steering fluid on his nice new block pave drive, neither was I when I had to change the pipe in freezing rain in time to get to work!

will have a go at topping the fluids up and reducing some of the leaks on wed she does seam to be driving better now and have taken the spare wheel off the bonnet so i can see where I'm going also have had the top off for the last two days
