the infra red lights work but the normal lights stayed on! there is no marking and nothing happens on the right hand settings of the switch

if it annoys me to much it will get bypassed

Right hand side turns on the convoy light's, which I have accidentally turned on before now.

Some say it's worth it, some say change the valve seats or a recon head et from the likes of turners.

You shouldn't need relay for stalk switch as it's designed to switch headlamps, also if you do fit relays, fuses etc. try to use automotive spec. ones as they are designed to survive the vibration / temperatures found in cars.

Don't forget they gauge is switched by the tank changeover switch by your left foot

If it's a military engine (low compression), It should be fine on unleaded. They were designed to run on 2 star, which never had lead in it to begin with.

If it's a high compression, you'll need to use additive.

have a look at the cylinder head, on the manifold side, by the central head bolt, there is a land on the casting. Clean it with some fine emery cloth, and look for a number stamped there.

If its a 7, low compression if its an 8, high compression.

the stamp is usualy quite feint, about 3/4" high, and some times only partially visible as it dissapears under the head bolt.

there is only one tank on mine and no changeover switch. the sender unit was stuck in the sat on bottom of tank position so i gave it a little tug to free it and it floats around but doesn't seam to do much will get the multimeter out and see what is happening. If the stork switch can handle the current i will use that instead if a relay I'm just used to newer automotive stuff were everything is relay!

how do i top up the gearbox oil and the differentials

difs are filled using the 3\8th box drive plugs on the diff pans, fill until oil starts flowing back out of the fill hole.

gear oil fill plug is on the pasangers side off the g/box about 2/3rds of the way up, same pricipal as the diffs fill until oit starts flowing back,

ps, thats why they fit straws to ep90 bottles

just had a thought, some gear boxes have the filler on the drivers side,
same principals apply though.

and you diff fillers may be 1/2" box drive, ive also seen some with hex drives,
but hey thats landrovers for you

update on electrical systems
washer jets no work
have had headlight to bits and all connections etc checked and remade off as needed and have decided the old units are just poo so have ordered H4 conversion lenses from vehicle wiring products
had the heater working today be fitting in a relay and sperate feed but that might have let to much smoke through as some started escaping so going to have to investigate further
have found out what my mistry switch was doing its for the extra lights on the front but there was a bad connection so nothing was happening reconnected it and i now only need a bulb

where does that hide? while on transmission where is the adjuster for the clutch as when i pop it into gear when cold she nearly stalls as the clutch is still engaged slightly

ep90 should do you proud mate, as far as memory serves the transfur should be along the same lines as the g/box,

i found the best way to catch the smoke is get a helper with a wee poly bag,lol

isnt the clutch hydraulic on your landy mate?

if it is it might be sticky a sticky plate or summit,
