Parkside:
Got the 230V multitool. Couldn't fault it until recently when the on/off started to stick on. Working again now so we'll assume it was just gunge.
230V dry wall gun. Superb, hasn't missed a beat. Was half tempted to try and graft the business end to a Makita cordless drill with some 3D printed parts.
230V SDS. Had to invoke the guarantee after a year. Had to go back to the makers. Replaced it foc.
Not tried any cordless stuff yet though tempted by the grinder.

Not exactly....measure a fully charged 18V Li-ion battery and it will likely be around 20V. Some makers just quote the nominal peak voltage as it sounds better.
Still a 5C arrangement in the pack as in 5*3.6V=18V

If you go for the 20v 2Ah battery + charger its £44.98
If you want the 20v 4Ah battery you still need the charger which i dont see for sale on its own,so all 3 will be £69.97 cheap
A quick google (and don’t shoot me as it’s just the first one that it threw up, you may get it cheaper...) has a Bosch grinder with 2 X 4ah batteries at £268 - bare tools are around £100 ish upwards for Bosch (that’s what I paid for mine), makita etc similar so I’d say yeah £70 is pretty cheap.

The grinder is a good tool but it requires the 4Ah battery, it does say this on the packet. Mine has had a lot of abuse and while its no match for a mains grinder it is perfect for 0.8mm cutting discs for chopping box and sheet metal.
Grinder will run on the 2ah battery but drains very quick and will stall easily.
The charger is quick enough I have never needed anything more than a 2ah and 4ah, one will be charged before the other is flat.
Like Kram only had a stalling issue with low charge on a 2ah
Made short work of chopping up a steel double bed frame into a pile of bits so my kid could fit it into her micra for skip appointment next day.
Been fine for me on box and some thicker sheet, nicely made and feels robust but its DIY level, not same league as the professional expensive "use all day long" brands I would not have thought? don't know, don't have to compare. I've also got the cordless drill / driver, SDS hammer drill & professional multi tool (different level/cost) Not had any issues so far with any,
German branded, 3 year warranty, I'm not promoting the stuff, just saying.
But will be leaving our local Lidl £100 lighter this Sunday with a load of it haha

My SDS drill was just outside 1 year but within 3 years. First I had to go through Lidl who needed a chase to get things moving but then Kompernass get in touch, send you a pre paid label and you take to a local pick up point.
From Kompernass first contacting me to my sending the tool back was a couple of months due to a bereavement but they were as good as gold.

As above, the grinder isn't a bad bit of kit, but they absolutely need the 4ah batteries. When I bought my grinder a couple of years ago they only did the 2ah batteries and they are very hit and miss. If they aren't fully charged or the temperatures dropping they spin up and cut out straight away. I had to cut 4 wheel studs down on a cold track day because I hadn't brought my deep sockets and it would have been quicker to hack them off with a blunt butter knife.
I've been waiting for the bigger batteries to come out since I missed them last time so thanks for posting!!! They should transform the grinder.
I have however cut exhaust pipe up, chopped a drive shaft in half and various other things plus used it with a sanding disc attachment with little effort in the past and had great results. But it definitely excels in cutting with a thin slitting disc.
I've also got their impact driver and this has been an excellent tool. Two small batteries will wind 2" screws into wood all day. I don't believe the 140nm torque figure though, but it certainly packs a punch.
Might even try their drill, I'll have a couple of batteries spare out of the grinder!

Took a punt on a drill last year, well worth the money, the batteries last well and great for light work.

i'm pretty sold on these, and considering heading down to a LIDL on Sunday, but the huge put-off is the limited availability in stores, and outwith these times you'd be stuck with Ebay sellers taking the yellow liquid.

Any Lidl's near you in a better off area (not saying you live in a dump). I find the diy stuff doesn't sell out in the lidl's in the better places, no one is interested in drills and angle grinders, its all stuffed olives and the must have plonk they want.

Was last year when I got mine, at the time you got a full set ie. grinder charger and battery for 99quid. I also bought a 4ah battery and never even bothered charging up the smaller one, with the larger battery it was ok if you running a flap wheel on rusty metal, but stalled as soon as you tried to either do any heavier grinding or cut out a rust section of metal.

There is a few of those, or was in my local lidl. I did have a butchers, but decided against it. They had a tig inverter and plasma cutter too.

Might have been a dud, you should have sent it back and seen if they could do anything with it.
