Yep, all went together sweetly mate. I'm hoping my sheet metal flat pattern ends up being correct, first time I've done any sheet metal stuff in Fusion 360

Quick update, prototype folded box is back from the sheet metal shop. A few changes have been made (where i messed up some measurements) and I've sent the files to production...

I can confirm Fusion 360's sheet metal unfolding works perfectly.

Collected all the folded cases from the sheet metal contractors this morning, I'll get on with welding them up tonight and tomorrow...

I’m not sure I would weld them Hugh unless you have to.
Looking at them they will hold together nicely with a couple of self tappers on each side.
I still don’t think the sides are deep enough either personally. Those pots are gonna be quite vulnerable to a good knock. I’d of had more height round the sides.

That one was the prototype Richard, the production ones extend further out the front and up the sides...

I think I'll weld them, the open corners with the bend relief in the corner will look weird and I could use a few hours Ali practice I haven't done any for about 6 months

This first batch of 5 will be wet sprayed because:

I can do it at home over Christmas when all the powder coat shops are shut

I have all the equipment for wet spraying and a ton of experience

I have a finished remote promised to someone and I'm already behind on this project

Does the machine have the function to do pulse though hugh?
Yes the remote might fit but we don’t know if that machine was ever capable of pulsing.

It's hard to find documentation for this welder, but all signs indicate that it has the ability to be pulsed
