its a proper mish mash mate, the lower level is engeneering bricks then solids the top course will be thermilities. They were all free thats why, if I was buying them solids all the way! they will be ok wont they?

Is it good practice to use osb on the frame on the outside then membrane then lathes/battons to fix the ship lap to

Are you just lapping on square timber, if so there will be a gap naturally. You can add the batons if you like, no harm but shouldn’t be required.
another question OSB or Ply for the interior and exterior? walls and roof
for the price difference might as well go 18mm i know it will be heavier especially on the roofOSB3 preferably.
