You want the ship lap to go over the outer edge of the brick so acts as a seal and water can’t run under the timber.

Well the mrs just counted the bricks I have as I am at work, I have enough to lay 2 courses so I may as well use them up huh

ordered the timber today 2K worth! its being delivered tomorrow! I better pull me finger out this weekend and get the bricks laid

just remember yu can build the frame work while its setting

saves time and your nearly ready to get the frame water proof very quickly and more when you fit the roof timbers on it

I would normally screw everthing together but like a kid in a toy store i realy want to put the new pasoade to work! so 90mm or 75mm nails to fix the 4x2s together?

remember with paslode dont have your hand near where your firing the nail in

fire sideways through the wood

if nailing at the end flatwood side also nail sideways into other piece

its got spikes for differnet angles set the nail so it goes into the wood by 3mm

beaware that paslodes nails can bounce off knots

hold it tightly against the wood stops bounce as much

u need gloves man! I used a kind of pick axe but with a wider blade to scalp mt grass the spade proved hard work

Exactly what type and class of 2x4 is best for the walls and roof? I’ve looked on various pages and there seems to be endless types, many with long category numbers after them. Obviously being fairly straight is essential.

I already order 5 pcs C24 50 x 150 x 4.8m to make the formers for the base, and probably incorporate in the build later.

All mine is pressure treated c24. I went with 7x2s for the roof though
