How many sheets of OSB did you use for the project? I have rough guessed the sheets I will need for a 12 x 16 workshop, with double layer walls and roof, and the bill for it comes to over £1100 Plus I'd need dozens of yards of 2x4.

A ready built shed would cost about £2000, but then I'd need some 20 sheets of OSB to line and insulate the inside on top of that.

I have 40 sheets yes about a grand for those. And I had a pallet of 4x2s 16 7x2s and some other stuff all in at 2 grand this is so much better than a pre made shed

We got another side clad tonight.
Just the back to clad in metal and the front in shiplap

Yes that was the case yesterday evening when it was raining, just spent the time inside drilling holes and running cables

oh and plan the rafters and studs right you dont need to cut and waste boards! thats why i have a odd spacing in the middle ;-)

no not really ASAP would be nice but we are working on it evenings and weekends right now as I am still working during the week. I cant really expect the mrs to work on it by herself right now! she can white wash the walls inside when they are up! I would like to think 2 more weeks but there is still lots left to do.

being as i stole her one well grew into it i like to put it! I better share this one with her. I reakon 1/4 of it can be hers, I will have the covered court yard area behind it once I have this built and enter stage 3 of the build

I like the idea of the challenge of making one too. If I order one it will probably take a few weeks to arrive, while I sit round twiddling thumbs.....

that was my thoughts too plus i knew i could get the raw material where i need it i dont think i would easliy move a pre made pannel so easily

I think building your own is the best way as you can build it to how you want it.

When I built my previous lean to shed,There was no way I could of bought the same shed for how much it cost to build, quality of materials etc

so true, and i have not seen sheds so heavy duty

My shed cost around £800 if I remember correctly. By the time I'd got it how I wanted it it was about £2200

that is the 3 sides clad in metal now, might crack on with the front ship lap tomorrow
