I could not because of the planning involved other wise! thats why I have left the roof over hang at the rear, once its done the green house gets ripped down then i have a covered court yard 3mx4m

i was just thinking the floor boards from wickes might make good shelfs they are 22mm iirc

i forgot to mention i put a new blade in my makita plunge cut rail saw today oh man it is like a new machine! needs a new spring i think though but it cuts like a dram again glides along the rail

I left a door way in the back of my old workshop, specifically so I could add a small extension at some convenient stage. I never did, but when we rented the house out and went abroad the tenant built a nice watertight addition 6 feet wide, the length of the shop.

And kitchen work tops are a good solid bench top for the price, even new. And if you are only doing ‘clean’ work they look pretty nice.

And kitchen work tops are a good solid bench top for the price, even new. And if you are only doing ‘clean’ work they look pretty nice.

Even better if you can find them are breakfast bar tops, they're thicker than the normal 'above cabinets' ones.

Is your good lady extremely short, or are your work surfaces very high?

My ex was barely 5’ tall on a good day, so when we built our house overseas I had the kitchen counters made 3” lower than industry standard. Worked well for her.

hes trying to keep his mrs out of the shed so put them high

hes been mean i think she deserves to slap him and make him change them for her size so she can use half the shed if not all the shed

one side they are high for standing work about 1.2m or a tall stoll the other side they are lower for sitting or standing work at about 1m, so we have his n hers benches.
