I remember doing a wing removal on one of these at Halton on my apprenticeship. That was in 1977!

Yup, they've only been outside for a short while so not corroded at all. Not fun getting the flap teleflex cables out with frozen fingers. Lots of locking-wire cuts on my fingertips so my phone no longer recognises my fingerprints. Doh!

There was a time when I could bend 1/16" split pins without pliers. Those days are long gone!

Looks a bit like a Sunbeam Alpine has been grafted on as the pickup bed!

I fancy doing that to the Scim. The roof will never be good on it, as it has a huge hole where the stupid POS Webasto sunroof was.

Just change the roof or let in a panel off a scrap shell - plenty about

Found this old photo (circa 1976) of my 1964 Ford pickup with Morrysville utility bed, which I bought at an auction when I was an apprentice carpenter. After cleaning the layers of crud inside the cab, all the chrome fittings came back to life shining like the day they were installed; the grease and grime had protected the finish during the previous years of neglect. I did a repaint, new tires & hubcaps, and the truck served me well for half a dozen years. I do believe the truck and tool contents gave me an edge in getting jobs where other's were passed over. Hopefully I've still got a picture of the renovation.

19" nose comes to mind;-) A Roadrunner will be about 17' long.

My mates daytona is missing the nose, it's said the original owner had a normal single sectional concrete
garage and he had to take the nose off the car to get it in the garage;-)

Just looked it up and 16'10" is the figure I get. I thought B bodies were 17'.
