I've been after a table saw for a while but don't really have the space for one, the track saw looks a good alternative, must do some research.
The only downside is ripping small stuff smaller than the track width.I've been after a table saw for a while but don't really have the space for one, the track saw looks a good alternative, must do some research.
Yes seen the locked saws. Can't justify it right now. 18v skilly and a speed square is my current method if it doesn't justify my big mitre saw.
IL get one at some point. currently gearing up for cordless so hammer drill grinder hoover/extractor and router in 18v are more important right now.I only bought it as I had a voucher to use plus there was a free battery offer at the same time which I sold as already have 5 so applied the man maths and snapped one up again one of those things I hadn't really taken notice of but now its always out especially as have limited power up the yard dead handy.

The £28 one.....that is unless someone knows where I can get it cheaper
my first job is to make a paulk style MFT.
(Lump of 18mm mdf with equally spaced holes set on a mdf torsion box)
i bought a cheap parfjig last year to mark out to a holey steel welding table, but got a cheap slotted box table instead, so its just sat in the box. about time i used it.
I debated making one for a while but lugging it around in the van would become tiring quickly and I'm always working at customers houses.I really like the Paulk bench, once you have a track saw the mft type bench is brilliant I made my own too so it matches all my other benches, my welding table is Laser cut to copy the mft hole pattern as well so I can use the dogs there:

I can flip the top when it’s wornout with too many cuts then just route another one for £20 worth of mdf - works really well.
Dogs are dead easy to make on the lathe some people charge a fortune for them on eBay!

Clearing a shed for woodworking so might order up a jig to make one.
Yeah. Saw them. Was going to make something similar. Too much faffing for a 1 day in out job.the original paulk bench was designed as a quick "in out" set-up site bench.
worth a watch of his utube channel?
(i find him incredibly annoying for some reason though - i unsubscribed from his channel)
