Don't they just drive you mad. I too like to humiliate people who have all the "jewellery" hanging off their kit but can't deliver the results because they just don't practice, they just show off. I could go on but I won't it's Christmas so I will give them a break

Projects ground to a halt today pending parts... was having a decent run up till now.
Have an old Audi A4 which hadn't been driven for around 5 years, then discovered it's ULEZ compliant, so family member decided to take it to London for a runaround. Fitted new brake disks and pads, and replaced a broken coil spring, then sailed through the MOT. Treated the recipient to wheel refurb at a local firm who did a same-day job.
Today went to do the front pads on my Amarok, but discovered too late that I'd picked up the wrong pads this morning. Unfortunately I'd left this particular job to the last moment, and had just over 1mm of friction material on the pads, so loading bay of the workshop is now blocked by an immovable vehicle until Wednesday.
Can't complain, as I'm not looking forward to the next one - oil pressure fault on my Renault Master. I vaguely remember being told the oil filter housing was seized last time the oil was changed, so keeping fingers crossed that it might just be a clogged filter. Not in the mood for doing it outside through, so having a few days way from the workshop now and will pick up again next week.
Once the vehicles stop cluttering up my workshop, then I'm finally at the point where I'm about to get my compressor and welders set up again - a mere 4 years after moving in to my new workshop, it's finally stopped being a dumping ground and starting be an area to do actual work in. Shall hopefully have some actual welding projects to share in the next few months.

It's been a mental busy year!!
I have been suffering with both tennis and golfers elbow from pulling cables in the week and then spending my Saturday indoor climbing with my daughter and tree work on a Sunday with my brother.
Glad of a couple of days off tbh

That makes me feel better – 2 years since I had to vacate my workshop and I'm still not properly set up in my garage at home. Getting there, just slowly!

When I have too many ideas and possibilities,I go away and use it ,stick the cab seats in and spend a night in a favourite location,then dream on! Good luck.I need to make inroads into campervanning my Renault Master.
(I'm not saying "do" cos it's a mass of work, and I know I'll spend ages thinking and measuring & fretting over just how & where I'm putting stuff etc - trying to not make mistakes with my meagre talents).
I've only a general plan of where I'm going to locate stuff (theory is great till you physically offer stuff up) & I know I'm going to have to be adaptive/creative - & all I have atm is a big van with totally bare insides. It doesn't even have cab seats in it atm!

Same here! No space to get a vehicle (even a motorbike) into the garage, that's just where my tools and gear live.Lucky you have a garage. I have to do most jobs outside
