SDS Bit Stuck In Concrete

Stick it just on hammer, not rotate, and try wiggling it around a bit when hammering to loosen its lock. Then maybe it will pull out.

It could just end up further in, and tighter....

yep before now having had this situation before have used drill bits and chisels just to remove existing one right pain

try and get the stilsons on the end where the 2 recesses are for a good grip the round part is quite hard and the jaws have a job getting a bite and slip round

Just tried getting a bfo adjustable on the remaining flats on the end. Didn't work.

I assume the end is fubar now anyway, knock a small socket on the end and try a impact driver?

Only got an 18V Makita impact driver here. I'll try.

So in doing this I tried the Makita 110V SDS then remembered it wasn't well.

Went onto the 800W Parkside SDS itself a replacement after the first Lidl one's hammer action died. Well, now this one too is duff. Will hammer but not rotate.

Went to SF and bought a 1500W Titan for £70. Came back and things were going OK when the 65mm core cutter blunted. Off to TS and spent £30 on a new Mexco 65mm core cutter. Seemed to be going OK when I decided to pilot and got the drill stuck.

unless you can impact in reverse i would be wary of using impact driver as the impact action may get the drill bit even more stuck . either with stillsons or mole grips you need to trying to direct the force backwards i think that makes sense

Slide hammer you just need a heavy lump with a hole (like your broken clubbie), and braze/weld/peen/clamp the end as a stop so it has something to hit on. Careful of fingers!

Its a through hole? how far has it got to break through, worth digging the trench bit to access the other side?
Sledge hammer and knock it out, but may knock half the wall with it.

Cut it off flush and continue with the core bit?

measure it and knock a hole from the outside with a kango hammer or similar till u hit it job done . even core it from outside then pull the drill out just don't be beaten

Use the old drill as a slide hammer, lock it on as normal, power off, and bang it up and down !
