An Abwood would be nice (and was what I wanted for my Fobco) but then the record turned up. Lots of options, just takes a lot of hunting time. An interesting machine vice I once saw was a Woden drill vice made of phosphor bronze, for use in the manufacturing of munitions where sparks could prove devastating.
I bought an Abwood Machine vice for my big drill. It turned out to be a bit of a rookie mistake as the Abwood really needs a compound table underneath it. There's no adjustability when bolting it down in the drill table T-slots otherwise. I ended up with a cheap and cheerful drill vice with the slots running along the sides which is much more practical. The slots give some Y axis range which is otherwise missing.
