I'll take some more photo's as it progresses. The two halves are currently in the vat. It had a session in there complete so that I could get the halves separated. The handle knob is quite pitted, but bar that, the rest seems in decent nick. All of the insert screws have been snapped/sheared, so I need to get those out too.

The beauty of cast is that even when it looks rusty as hell, it usually tends to be decent underneath. Quite resilient to rust.

Parts now they're derusted. The discolouration around the Paramo logo is just due to the brass brush.

I've got a Yost too I think its massive and my favourite, if admittedly with a hole in it. What's the monster behind it? Go on what's your biggest vice? Apart from vices?

That's a Baldor grinder. My biggest are the Parkinson 8A's. 6" jobbies.

Bar refitting the jaw inserts and making a loop for the chain, I've got that swivel jaw all abouts finished now.
