I decided it was time to have a welding cart, so here is one I built over the weekend - just needs some better tool storage sorting and painting now.

Yes ok ok...I hang my head in shame, my excuse is, I was up to my eyes with work, had no spare wheels or castors and Daughter was pestering me for what I wanted for my birthday.

BUT..It's actually a pretty decent cart and does it's job ok so no apologies for breaking the welders code of 'Why buy one when I can make it'

I have one of those, but I’ve been cutting bits out and adding extra space to hold my mig, tig, and plasma cutter (tig still to be fitted). Not quite finished yet, but 95% done.

Just to add, you’re probibly seeing 20% of my workshop space in that picture.

Very handy looking.
One thing I've found with those exact small castors is a 4" is better at riding over lumps and bumps.

dads first job when he bought his pickhill bantam, quick frame and 2 large cast wheels approx a foot in diameter and 2 inches wide , thing goes over the top of anything , stil going strong 45+ years later.

Can't you see the handle? its attached to the top of the welder, pointless making another

Aye, I saw the handle on the Oxford - but doesn't that mean you're stooping to pull it along?

He, as all Scots do, has artificial arm extensions so he can reach into his deep pockets. Obviously that is a very rare occurrence so they are kept in a locked cabinet which also has a delay timer. That timer is there so that they can not be pulled out in a rash drunken moment of indiscretion and thus he has time to reconsider his decision.

The long pocket thing is due to Scots developing very long arms from dragging wild haggis from their burrows. This also explains the unusually strong grip...
