I have a light sensor which should switch the pump on when i start welding (auto setting) or i switch to permanently on. I may link it to the pedal switch. I was going to get another arduino and try and make my tig pedal wireless but will leave that for another time.Looking good
Do you have the pump coming on with the torch or is it just via a switch on the cooler?
I was considering fitting a socket on the back of the Parweld similar to the female sockets you get in a computer power supply for the mains input. I was then going to have the cooler powered from it so that when I switched the welder on the cooler came on. So not auto with torch but at least I couldn't forget to switch the cooler on. Only problem with doing that is the warranty would likely be voided
I use 4T most of the time so that wouldn't work so easily.
Different pitch, 28 for BSP and 27 for NPT, also slight difference in OD, NPT slightly bigger if I recall. If the senders have a taper thread then you may get away with it as the pressures are not massive.
Don't really want to buy a mechanical gauge, but don't to damage the torch either, Don't know how much more i can back it off. @Richard. any thoughts on this?Looks like the flow sensor is correct then
Pressure gauge would seem to be reading low if it is a similar setup to mine as at 50/55PSI (mechanical gauge needs damped) I get 1.2l/min
