Thankfully the crash on mine did damage to the top corner casting of the compound slide only. No working surfaces damaged. Easily done when concentrating on the tool as I've proved myself. :/
Haven't striped the bernaurd 3 jaw centering chuck it came with yet other than removal. Also have a crown 5" 4 jaw to make a backplate for. Ideally could do with a smaller 4 jaw too. This one was close and cheap enough though. May repurposed my 3inch from the ml3. Threads are a slightly different pitch from the feel of it anyway.
Is the nut still usable? Thankfully everything on mine is showing very little wear. It came out of a goldsmiths and spent 2 years in a damp shed without ever being cleaned since last use. The only part I may have issues with is the threading gear that is driven by the leadscrew. Looks a little chewed up.
