Na. Probably stay as they are. Was just red oxide last time round. Easy to see anything foreign in there. Same for the cabinet insides. Were all red. Now staying grey.
Nice job
One day, I'll find a 4 jaw too
Model L?I think so - I mean it's definitely threaded but whether it's the same or not...
Yes, it's an L.
I've got the backplate for the 3 jaw, but I'd happily forego the 3 and just use a 4 (and collets) instead.
What I'd like to do is find a 5-6" 4 jaw (or even a 4" if it really came to it), mount it on the S&B backplate and make a threaded adaptor bush so I could screw it onto my RandA too.
Maybe I'd have more luck finding one if I looked more often than once every 8 months or so
I'll scroll back through fleabay and see what it set me back tomorrow and drop you a msg.I think that'd just about work - it'd be tight, but just...
It might need a little modification, so it'd depend what you want
I'm not allowed to pm at the mo due to being a naughty boy, but if you can send me a pm?
Wife's out. Kids in bed. What to do.
This.
Bed isn't bolted down yet. Will need to jack it up to get the apron under. Spindle went back together perfectly a teeny bit tight but there cold. Will pay attention when running.

Chucks and collets in for the pics. Now removed.
And excluding the already built apron and slides and leadscrew this is all that's left to be cleaned and fitted.

Still need to look at the motor and pulley.
Have a dewhurst switch. Probably worth wiring it in too.
Original start stop switch is present. Need advice on reusing but that's for a different thread.
And a belt to splice.
same as the A then,Don't know about the MK1 but the M MK2 is 1 3/4" x 8TPI
