It has diesel heating so yes I can use red. Still 1.60 a liter at the moment.

Red can be used as fuel for all marine craft refuelling and operating in the UK (including fishing and water freight industries), except for propelling private pleasure craft in Northern Ireland.
It's cheaper if you only have diesel heating on board.

Finance Act 2020 made changes to HODA which have not yet been commenced. It amended sections 12 and 14E to disallow the rebates that apply to diesel, biodiesel and bioblend that are not used for road vehicles on the fuel used for propelling private pleasure craft. Oh yeah.
I gave mine away after thousands of pounds spent, hundreds or a few thousand hours of work, and major, major hassles with town councils, local government.

After 15 years I managed to get rid of it / gave it away for 1 euro.

I like ours, but we dont use it nowheres near as much as we should, its on the hard at the minute waiting for new props to turn up, and I am not really in any rush to put it back in the water, even though I enjoy trying to drive it.

Moving the boat to a different marina this weekend. Should have been a nice weekend cruse and 17 locks in total.
Lost the starboard engine yesterday, no fuel getting to the injectors.
No biggie so cracked on with the port engine. Only today that one fluttered and died mid stream. Luckily restarted and made it to the next lock.
Currently waiting for a marine engineer to come tell me the damage to get her going again.

Ford Saber 90 D series engines
So drained first fuel filter last night as it had a but of cheap in it. Let a little out of the next 2 as can't see in those and was worried it was water in fuel.
Cranked it and the first filter filled up. Cracked off the joints after the next filters and no fuel, few bubbles but next to nothing.
Manually pimping the lift pump does nothing as far as I can tell.
Post engine acted like it ran out of fuel and fluttered but restarted straight away and managed half a mile. Ran on OK for 10mins whilst I used jumper cables to get power into the other engines battery to carry on looking at it.
Any ideas?

Sometimes thé lift pump can bé on thé cam, and you have to give thé minimum start turnover of thé engine, to get it off cam.
Do you do WhatsApp, might bé easier.
