Well no carb kit in the post today so I went ahead and removed the pot for a look see. Exhaust had to come off with it as the bolts were seized. Got them out with no damage by heating the flange with the pot secured in my vice.
Basically if it had if started it would have ran like a bag of nails as there is wear in the small end of the con rod and I don't like the feel of the big end either. So this may be a full rebuild job just checking the parts for the 48mm piston I have. Pot and piston look OK for re use but some light scuffing is visible and if going this far its really a restoration so I will put a new top end on it also.
