Tiger 800 major service. Did the valve clearances new camchain etc a long while back (68,000 miles).
Its now on 105,000 and they did not need re-shimming, amazing really.
Air filter was in a bit of a state mind!.

Jap bike engines have been capable of clocking up starship mileages for nearly half a century, and that on routine servicing alone.Yeh you don't really see many bikes over 60,000 through the workshop.
We work on a Yamaha FZ6 (Fazer) and he's on 110,000.
Few and far between though!.
Saying that Deliveroo lads can clock the miles up, seen some 8 month old bikes on 20,000 + miles!.
A nice easy fix today. The neighbour threw away perfectly good stirrup pump because the valve adaptor was knackered.

A quick shufty on eBay a few days ago, and a new one turned up this morning for the princely sum of £2.85.
Three minutes later, et voila.

Another easy fix. How many people woukd chuck this away and buy new?
£1.49 spent at Toolstation, 5 minutes extracting the broken piece, job done!
