I started off with round bar and milled the flats on them. these are photos I took a while ago machining a 2.5mm hexagon on something else and I did make the 2.5mm a/f spanner.
I've got a 12 position rotating fixture that started life as a generic ER20 milling spindle

Made this and got heatstroke working on the drive.
Learnt a few more lessons for the next one.

Dont like them myself. Or fake furniture from mdf either lol.
Would have quadrupled the price doing a proper job.
Not a plumb wall or square corner in sight there.
Even the stringer was 10mm out of level vertically with a 10mm bow along the length.
Had no choice but to use architrave above the doors to mask the discrepancy.

You have no idea how much I would have loved that as a kid - hurdles, forts, jump-scaring people as they walked past... Me and my sister used the curtains in our room as tarzan rope vines... then we didn't have curtains for a month or so

Awful to work with and fix to amd a pita to prep edges for a decent finish.
Serves a purpose though.
Peope dont want to spend the money.
To busy paying off finance and credit cards.

Got a climbing wall to make for my eldest this weekend hopefully.
Next is a custom lego /knex storage boxes on casters to fit fully under a double bed.
Probably gonna be drawers so the tops can be used as tables.
Another pending build is some of these for the toddler.
2 of with a bandstand or two to form a bridge/slide.
She who must be obeyed has requested them.

Try to discourage it here. Winds at the bottom. Faceplanting a brick wall aint clever.
I was spoilt as a kid. 3 storey scaffolding in a huge open sided barn full of all sorts. Plant, sheds and stables ride on mowers guns.
Never bored when we lived there. Chap my old man worked for auctioned liquidated stock. Always something interesting to play with.

but cousin did get pushed down steps by me in an argument there family soon left then, and never came back at xmas

Wife was out this evening and needed a fix.
Trundled out to the cave to have a ponder.
Wifes into needle felting atm and struggles to remove needles from the cork and wood handle.
Pinched the collet shaft and nut from an old dremel knock off flexi shaft thats knackered and made a handle to press it in.
Need to make a smaller collet
If she doesn't like using it il use it for holding scribes instead.
Trundled out to the cave to have a ponder.

Today's daft job, quick and dirty caravan fridge repair, the element had burnt out, a leak from the sink waste has ensured that it won't be coming out of its pocket! So a new thermal well knocked up and a replacement stat to control it. The white gunk is thermal paste.

Mixed jobs today, all of which were good fun. I did a bit of sandblasting and used the wire brush machine to clean this monster buttress thread from my Record 53A. Then I turned a new handle for this garden fork out of ash, before fitting it to the fork which had also been sandblasted. Finally I did some turning, re-knurling the knobs from the belt guard on the Fobco
