Not a bad idea. I had to drill the wheel holes so the lower arms would fit under the chassis on my old hot rod. I can see no reason why they needed 3 inches of clearance from the floor.

A good old Stanley Surform fine file is very good if you are doing the pipes away from your grinder , so is scraping a Stanley knife blade in the holder round the internal edge to clean up any snagging bits inside the pipe such as ladies long hair strands .

My pal who was a master kitchen fitter made a " V" in 5 mm steel with one leg longer than the other , put Allen key headed screws through it so he could clamp a Stanley blade in place to make a simple plastic remover for internal waste pipes rather than use his angle grinder .

Cutting the pipes dead square helps tremendously too . These days I use a 24 tpi hard point plastic pipe hand saw to cut such pipes . It's something I wished I done 50 or more years ago

What the tractor ? I hope the back end is heavy enough or I can see you pulling endos.

Is it the camera distorting it or is the middle spike slightly lower than the other 2 ?

You'd have to have some bloody wet straw on to tip that up. Our skidsteer will lift 2 big squares and it's only 1.6ton.

Aye, she's plenty capable of lifting 2 at a go unless the ground is really rough. I can borrow a 1200kg weight block for the back end if I need to as well.
The middle tine is forged slightly bent. Wee bit annoying as it's a brand new spendy Kverneland one!

I'm just thinking what the farmers around here would try, they'd have a round bale on each spike and two more balanced on top for good measure
