I could but the lack of an angle plate and small end mill does not help , I am collecting bits and pieces slowly but surely though.can you not rig a vertical slide out of a compound vice and an angle plate and run a small end mill along it?
That's a good point mr hood. Make a cutter from hss, hold workpiece in chuck and use the carriage like a shaper
if you engage backgear without unlocking the bullwheel it locks the chuck up, or at least it does on the super 7I have done that before, problem may be holding the chuck from rotating. On my lathe I just put it in the lowest gear and that was enough, might not be enough on the ML10 so you may have to try and lock some other way..
