its nice to see that gate up and painted with a precoat on itNot so much what I made today, but what I did today....
Test fitted the gate to establish where the catch tab needs to be - progress has been delayed by a) builders working round the house for almost 2 months [] re-harling, b) my not being well with a bug [twice] and needing a/biotics to shift it, and c) the weather being too cold and damp to sensibly have a go at painting it.
It's coming along...slowly

this one has to made in its place as cant make it outside then take it in and fit it as its for an ibc tank for fuel another leg to go on near the door and access is needed for the compressor tank

Extended the height of the aluminium outboard pods on the the back of a Cheetah Cat to suit bigger outboards, pic shows one done the other original. Have to make up new steering system and probably alter the shooting table due to the engines being taller but that will be next week.

Well not my workshop, wish it was but one thing is for sure, I will not be accepting any eggs for the next while, all they have done today is peck away at the aluminium grinding dust

The stupid thing is. The fith picture down is where I welded the end cap on. I been wondering how the mig like tig dimes is done.and I kind of did it but don't no how I did it. All I can remember is doing it in three sections with a drag technique ....

Thank you..everything I do I use only a angle grinder. Files.and welder. Sometimes the bench grinder..electric drill. But with basic tooling you can make most things.

The plane blade on the pictures looks OK to me, what has been done to it to require a new blade? Has the backside been ruined (not flat anymore)?
Also I made a little compass today for woodworking (john heisz design)

Sort of getting there.
Made 13 flooring columns for a mates barn, 203 x 203 x46 U/C with 12mm end plates to bolt into the uprights.
Gave the ESAB 400 a run, mate tacked the end plates on and I ran the weld around them and over did it, still suffering.
Installed all 13 in his barn as the uprights were pre drilled and it was a quick lift with his teleporter into position while I lined them up and bolted them in, all he has to do now is put the floor on top of them at his leisure for storage space in his barn.
