Coloquium? Interview for a job?Got a job colloquium , didn't go well
Nothing wrong with H&S In principle. In your job role, you are not always welcome on a site.
But when they understand that you are there to help, I think things may change.
Shame a lot think H&S is a bad thing. Or think the WWW gives them all the relevant answers.
Beers on you then.
Encoder on the spindle I assume.Nice job.
How will you sync it for screw cutting?
Sometimes the application is taken so far away from the original point that it becomes ludicrous.
Hardhat blanket rules. Hi vis on vehicle free sites. Cordless tools only to avoid leads.Only if it is done wrong.
You tried spade drills? I love them and on my manual Triumph they are brilliant as they take no force so the under powered servo spindle doesn't get troubled at all.Small, non cnc Harrison lathe is MT5. Bigger Harrison Alpha cnc lathe is MT6. Pity the Kennametal Hts drills are so frigging expensive,as they drill exceptionally quickly,no pilot hole required. Silly applications of reasonable rules.
Looks fine to me mate. Serves a purposeGot to teach scouts tonght how to use a compass, problem is they are too small for them to gather round and view, so I made a few enlarged examples. 3mm acrylic, cut and engraved on my 50w laser then painted (engraved upside down) not the prettiest but it works View attachment 211659 View attachment 211660

I suppose in production or high value work they work out cheaper but certainly not in my line of workYes I have. Kennametal HTS knocks their socks off....at a price
Mine neitherI suppose in production or high value work they work out cheaper but certainly not in my line of work
The USA is a weird place for stuff like that, they certainly seem to pay crazy prices for carbide inserts compared to us or at least they did 8 or 10 years ago when I was told how much they were. Then the next thing you get stuff half the price of what we can get it for.Mine neither
But I keep an eye open for them. They do come up for sale in the States at semi realistic prices occasionally
