Looking at your location in guessing this is one of Henry Pryors machines?View attachment 113064 View attachment 113063 Started on the MERLYN today been in the workshop 3 weeks waiting for a steel plate to replace the ply.
It's an automatic cricket bowling m/c,a customers that's had a gap in producing these,the plate locates the drive motors,attached to wheels that lob the ball,a lot of precision alignment req first,hence the temporary guide bars.
Profile some 8mm plate tomorrow .
A scriber, I'm still enjoying the novelty of being able to poke around in the scrap bin and actually make something from nothing. Point will get properly sharpened tomorrow.

What did you make the tip from? Just that Tig Tungstens make excellent scribers.
Masonry nails are excellent for dibbing the mark on a tile you're about to drill. It breaks through the glaze and makes it easy. On a tile that's on a wall and grouted in, of course. Doing such on a loose tile often results in tears.Masonry nail.
