Here in England & Wales if you drill down into the recycling & waste disposal regs. I gather that there is a requirement for the seller of new mattresses etc. to take back the old scrap stuff .Just recovering after some serious mattress action with my wife.
There was grunting, several positions. She even reached between my legs.
Also rope and knots. Hell, even scissors made an appearance. We also considered duct tape at one stage.
We had to make a rolled up mattress as Fife Council won't take away the old one unless exactly that.

Our new Tempur mattress shop's supplier gave us a massive thick poly bag for our old mattress and they took the old bagged up one away when they delivered the new one for the princely sum of £ 20 a few years ago .

Your wife?I cut mine into little pieces and disposed of it in the rubbish.
Your wife?
"Take my advice, Dave. When there's a pile of rubbish, there's money to be made."There was a case a couple of years ago on an industrial estate at St Mary's Cray (south of Bromley) where a firm had been taking in vast quantities of mattresses, presumably due to this regulation, and they were piled sky high and overflowing everywhere. I think to company just upped sticks and de-camped and the local council had to clear up the mess.

Unstrut nuts?I put this in the 'cats' thread but thought it would be useful here too.
I needed a small Acro to hold the cat flap tunnel up while the morter set but had nothing that would fit so I made this...

Also known as. "Zeb's" in the trade...Unstrut nuts?
Would this do ya?Finished the compound bolt. Found I will need a 2mm washer for the toolpost nut. Id forgotten how bad this compound is. Might add some thrust bearings to the screw. It is a pain to clock in!

I could use ideas to improve the mounting. I was going to make a more substantial plate but I'd really like to knock 3-5mm off the height.
