It was a combination of too high a temp (210) and not enough retraction for the long Bowden on the E5.What was the cause & cure?

Nylon 66 blend is worth a try otherwise. I have a roll of Overture Easy Nylon that you could borrow to make that.Worm gear for my bandsaw next to the rather destroyed original
A quick fit shows it fits ok but I'll have to wait until I can put it back together to see if it's up to the job. Printed in abs 0.8mm nozzle.

I have ordered a direct extruder, it sorted the problems on the E3 so hopefully it will help with the E5.Looks like a typical issue with the bowden tube adaptor.
Here is the fix: #16
TLDR: fit a short length of perfectly fitting bowden tube into the hot end before connecting it up...
