Even multi materials for functionality + support.I think the thing that would interest me more would be printing in multiple materials (support material + PETG).
I figured out how to get both cameras onto the octoprint gui: it's looking a bit better now:
Genuine question. What's the purpose of the cameras on the printer?
I've also ordered a cheap endoscope that I'll add and set up pointing directly at the nozzle, that should give a better view of what's going on and I may even set up a local copy of The Spaghetti Detective (coz I'm too cheap to pay for the service).Genuine question. What's the purpose of the cameras on the printer?
Thanks for clarifications, if I understood them - all this tech is a bit beyond me .
I'm glad I've not succumbed to the siren calls of 3D printing, I've barely enough time to get done what I need to now . But I do admire folk who can get it all to work properly.

The Spaghetti Detective is supposed to be an A.I. system that looks at the images from the webcam and automatically notifies you if it looks like it's all gone wrong. I suspect it will work better with a "nozzle camera", so I haven't bothered to set it up yet.
Emperor's new clothes mate. That new invisible filament is impressive.
Yet.
Definitely not, I've not got the space to set one up, the patience to wait hours for the finished article to emerge (or not, as the case may be), nor the CAD knowledge to design what I want to make.
Let us know how it goes, my intention is to do that upgrade as well.
I'm also interested. I'm not sure whether I'll upgrade or not yet. Everything I've read about the MMU2S has been fairly negative (although it's supposed to get a lot better if you replace the PTFE tubes with wider ID ones), so I'd be interested in hearing how you find it.
I think the thing that would interest me more would be printing in multiple materials (support material + PETG). If you try that at all I'd be really interested. I can see some benefit in having multiple colours for writing on the top (or bottom of things), but that usually only needs one (or maybe two) colour changes, so fairly easy to do without the MMU2S.
