Today I acquired 4 springs courtesy of Dr.Al. I’m planning to make a wood burner and hope to use some of these to make the door handle. Will post some pictures when finished Graham.

A free hotel stay. I’ve been working at extremely short notice moving one warehouse to another warehouse as it’s going to be demolished. We have three days to do it, not including the weekend when we can’t get access. They liked my pace of work so invited me for more work and paid for me to stay overnight

I need a 1.4mm hole, twelve quid gets you a set of thirty tungsten carbide PCB drills from 3mm down to 0.1mm. 
Back at uni now so no cast iron Herbert to keep them safe, I'm hand drilling with a dremel, wish me luck.

A couple of BSA items arrived today, a spanner and a new old stock (1965) service manual; it's a start, lol. Got an itch to get a bike again. Haven't had a BSA before, so the manual should get me up to speed on the technical aspects. I would like to find an early Bantam D1, a hardtail model.

I had a few BSA tools in my Matchless toolkit, I gave them away last year to a local with a B33 after he gave me spare mag.
A hard tail will certainly give meaning to the acronym Bloody Sore A****

wrap the un ripened ones in a bit of newspaper and put them, in the cupboard for a few days and it ripens them

My grandparents had a sideboard with a felt lined drawer (cutlery?) which was used exclusively for ripening tomatoes.
Its in my spare bedroom, now, and I'm not sure if its psychosomatic, but I still sometimes catch a whiff of tomatoes when i open that drawer.

Four 7.5m lengths of 25 x 25 x 2.5mm and two lenths of 50 x 25 x 2.5mm steel section from F H Brundle for a few projects and 'stuff'. Figured that I'd better get some in to keep me busy should you know what but we can't talk about it happen again.
The eejit wielding the angle grinder with slitting disc halved all the lengths so they'd stand up in the workshop. As you can clearly see from the photo there was no way that was going to happen as the workshop is never that high... it wasn't until he wangled them inside and tried to stand them up that it occured to him that he should've cut them into 2.5m lengths as he'd previously done...
