Just bought the Parweld XTS 162 Inverter package from weldequip There's been a few barns broken into near me and the wife spotted some low life with a head torch checking out our barn a couple of nights ago so putting some A252 8mm mesh up behind the Yorkshire boarding on the side of the barn in the trees not visible from the house. This is the excuse I used to buy the Portamig several years ago but arc is much better for this I have since found out so I can use the excuse again

I have been a very naughty boy, last week the wife asked me to make an oak book case for the eldest daughter's bedroom - I used this as an excuse to buy a Festool Domino joiner, not cheap but makes joinery a doddle. I am now brasic and will be eating crackers and water for the rest of winter but I have lots of nice projects to be getting on with

Got some comms cables to make up for a job on site in the next couple of weeks, so took the opportunity to order a gas soldering iron kit from RS (I have an oldish iroda gas kit but the tips seen better days and I'm starting to shy away from using my own tools for work purposes.) along with some heatshrink and flexi labels for my label printer.

Very nicely made kit, comes in a sturdy case with a range of tips and nozzles and a handy cleaning pot to save me from burning holes in my trousers

My lad dropped off these bins as he works for a large delivery company....should go someway to helping me sorting out the rest of my storage and available garage space.

Just before I finished work last week I took a few of my tools and things I'd acquired ( )home and when we emptied the office I asked could I remove this PC speaker set as they would have ended up in the skip so I now have a reasonable sounding speaker system so I can plug in my phone for music when in the garage. Nor quite in the realms of a Sonos or Bose system but when it's for free I'm not moaning.

and today I stopped one of my neighbours who does drives and paths as he was unloading his van and managed to bag 3 x hardwood pallets which very quickly got ripped up with my Makita battery circular saw. Almost too good to burn!

Saved this air dryer from being skipped, it's only 4 years old, an MTA NA-135 Heatless Adsorption Dryer. Hopefully should be ok to supply nice dry air to my plasma cutter.

I've been using Portasol gas irons since the 80's and cannot fault them.

Managed to rescue some stuff from going in the skip. 10 shelves so I can use some previously salvaged box section to make the wracking and the new shelves so it'll not cost me much except time to make 2 sets of shelves for the garage.
Plus the bits from the indexable wracking previously of stores that were no longer required. Mainly for the heavy duty rollers, bearings and chain drive. But the steel is reasonably thick so should useful.
Also some fairly thin sheet which will no doubt be useful for something.

You know how to set it on the stand? Level it on the two corner jacks and the middle one of the three the other end, then bring the two outside jacks up so they just touch but carry no weight.
