Ah, OK, most other forums I frequent don't let you do that, they expect all images to be resized and hosted externally.
Will bear this in mind for future pics. Is there a limit on photo resolution or a preferred image size in pixels?

Sorry to clutter the thread, I have just read the various threads about posting images and the use (or otherwise) of Photobucket and will make sure I carry out a suitable pennance for not reading these threads and make sure I don't do it in future

Well, it was yesterday I acquired it, but tonight I nearly finished this Tamiya model tank. It took Sunday afternoon to build, and this evening in front of the telly to paint and do a bit of subtle weathering. I can see myself getting back into this.

Humbrol paint will allow you to use Humbrol Decalfix which helps the transfers to form properly around the mouldings. Check out the Humbrol channel on YouTube, they have some excellent tutorial videos

Yeah, I forgot to pick up micro sol when I was in the hobby shop. That's why the numbers on the turret look a mess at the moment. I've left the turret un-varnished for now so I can correct the decals once I get the softener. Still need to paint the tracks and the driver and commander and highlight some edges, paint the tools and accessories and rust up the exhaust pipe...

Also I use 1k fine body filler to plug gaps, it's far cheaper than Tamiya and you get tonnes, seems to work fine.

I used to spend months building up models. At the very least, scrape off all the flash with a scalpel and de burr those edges....

Cheers, I was impressed by how well it all went together. I used to buy cheap Airfix and Revell kits as a kid and remember having to spend ages filling and sanding (repeat to fade...) on their offerings but the quality of the premium models makes it really easy to put them together. Still fun and games with small parts bu that never changes.

I didn't really notice much flash until I looked at the blown up pics on the phone! Too late now, it's in paint but I'll remember on the next one

I have wet sanded model car bodies before and after paint/lacquer to build shine. Pain to do and easy to loose detail on corners and edges etc. Due to the time involved in getting high gloss finishes I much prefer to paint vehicles that you can do a matt finish on like tanks etc as they always seem to look more interesting too.

Well not all today I acquired.
Brought this German Voigtländer 35mm camera of the Bay Of E. It arrived Saturday, packaging was undamaged.
But Sadly the camera was not working. focusing ring is jammed. I mean solid, not hope of moving it.
Contacted the seller, exchanged e mails and pictures. The seller was mortified that it was not has he wanted to have happened.
This arrived today. The replacement is the camera on the left, the damaged one on the right.
Another camera, free of charge.
Plus I get to keep the first

Well, my last seller has gone dark. Obviously disappointed at the selling price, he's not giving me a time/date to collect and I'm not driving 60 miles to find no one home.
