bargain for the hitachi, had mine for years, excellent bits of kit, as long as you're ready for the start up, hell of a kick off mine, but nothing to worry about in real terms....

I shan't worry too much for the tenner - but tbf it looks reasonably well made, is complete, as-new & will only find use for clamping the occasional odd-job.
If it is useful just the once it'll have earned it's keep
I'm no craftsman either, so it's unlikely to be over-taxed

Got it from Deftys in Crook, one of those dying breed of proper old-fashioned ironmongery/hardware shop that looks like the kind of place that the "Fork handles" sketch could have been filmed in. Almost bought an axe but as I had to get some milk from the Co-op next door that might have been a bit too much

Late-night looking at amazon is always a risky affair, but this actually looks quite useful and worth the £20 it cost:
A couple of quick tests holding random stuff to random stuff - in case it isn't obvious, the idea is that it holds stuff while you tack it in place:
The springy bit turns on the body bit and the magnets pivot, so it clamps onto round stuff too:
