Mine isn't really ready to go yet - a few bolts, some electrolysis and ultrasonic cleaning + general adjusting and 'fettling' - I'm going to take my time and enjoy the process.A 'kind of' project if you like

Think I'll name him Maurice.......
I made a start today but won't clog this thread with it, when I get a chance I'll start a dedicated thread and post a few pics.
I'll be hoping to pick @Turbo's brain when it comes to the Tri-Leva arrangement and what's involved in stripping it, to fit new belts if nothing else - as I remember his thread/pics when he did his.

Sometimes you just need an analogue meter, a modern DMM won't do. I last used mine to adjust the regulator on my dynamo charging setup on my BSA.

I got a useful 12V 50A PSU, but it's a total ear-bender, with a fan going at 4K all day long.
I tried to kick that fan into touch, but discovered the fan is tied to a cunning monitoring board in the unit, so a quieter one doesn't work - it will run, but the unit doesn't power up, as it thinks the fan is duff.
These things were designed to run in server rooms and old-tech server designs paid little to no attention to noise concerns - and I suppose that's handy, as a lot of the older but still perfectly useable stuff is being turfed out, to be replaced with quieter and more efficient gear, so means there are bargains to be had.
