After the trip to the skip I had to take a friend down collect a parcel from one of her work colleges. Just down the A303.
The Mc D is were we met.
On the way home her little one needed a comfort stop. LIKE NOW!!!
As I stood there as things were sorted I spotted by the bin 2 bags with 2 saw handles.
I said there are 2 saw handles with saws attached, well that's odd.
I stood a bit longer looking at the bags, going 2 saws there, I wonder why.
Then I came to my senses.
There are 2 bags with saw handles sticking out in the back of my car.
This is what was in the bags.
The 2 saws, just need a clean up.
Complete hair trimmer and a working 12v emergency car light. Both work.
The last item of any use was the hedge trimmer, works, but needs a dam good clean the get it running correctly.
My friend thinks I am one of these.

Hedge Trimmer.
Given my neighbour, a clean and new grease in the gearbox had it running sweetly. I also adapted the cable so he can use his Fly-Mo power lead on it. Yes, I rummaged in of my spare box's.
Hair Trimmer.
Cleaned in disinfectant and oiled up. I even brought some correct oil for it. It was swooped for a selection of wooden handles with a member of Men In Sheds.
Work light.
Nothing yet, but plans are to fit "Croc. Clips" instead of the car socket adaptor and use it at work.
Saws.
Handles striped off, both are undergoing varnish stripping. Then they will be sanded and oiled. Or waxed.
Blades are still sharp, if rusty. They have bean reset and now are sat in a de rusting tank, with a Heath Robinson heater set up.
The blades are out, given a going over with a wire brush in a grinder.
The pictures gives the impression they are darker than they really are. But they are set and sharp.
Cat has hidden.

Most or possibly even all (?) of a tube bending set up - never used one so if anyone can tell me how much is missing - also a couple of vices.

Been auction shopping again.
A strange but fully working torque wrench. Going to leave this one out for torquing up wheel nuts. £2
4.5 kgs of 4mm & 4kgs of 3.2mm Bohler Fox OHV welding rods. Quite old but still weld nicely. £11
A large sykes-pickavant bearing splitter set in an original metal case. Splitter will open to 120mm & there are enough extensions to go to 750mm! The ram still works & nothing is bent.
Only thing missing was the end for the ram that locates on the centre mark on the shaft. It was there when I viewed it but some thief took it before the auction.
Not to worry, easy to make a new one. Scared to think what the set cost new, the splitter alone is currently £150! Cost me £40, so a good deal.
A 25m 110v extension reel made with 2.5mm arctic cable. The cable has some damage 2m from the plug & where it enters the reel. Easy enough to cut back & repair & still have a 23m lead. I plan to swap the plug & sockets for 16A blue ones as I don't have a 16A extension lead. Cost me £9!

Not workshop related, but useful nonetheless...
A Telex headset, which was wired for an Icom transceiver, saving me the bother. Nice little PTT switch in line, too.
Telex voice quality should be good - after all, it's what they do.
Cost about 15 quid.
Secondly, an Avcomm clone of the David Clark aviation headset, and honestly it's hard to tell where the extra $300 worth of price comes from when I compare this to the original. Really nicely made and fits perfectly. Only fault on this was the cable had degraded in the sunlight, so a wrap with self-amalgamating tape and a covering of spiwrap for the entire length restored it to perfectly useable condition. Apart from the cable cover breaking down, it gives the air of barely being used.
A suitable impedence matching unit is easy to knock up for radio use.
I'll not be flying with it anyway, so two fingers up to the IAA.
Oh, it cost me a tenner or so.

There are a few auction houses around the country but if they are well advertised and by the time you put the buyers premium on it's not often you come away with a real bargain unless it's something very unusual that 99% of people don't want.
Real bargains are usually found by being nosey, having conversations and keeping your eyes open, facebook sales groups can be good but you have to be very quick.
I've just spent two days clearing out a shed and putting some longspan racking in so I can make room for a compressor. It's rained since I started and today I can to come in twice to find a dry coat. Anyway, I needed 5 foot of space, and I now have 5'5" of space. Result. Indoors, kettle on, phone bingles at me. Mate of a mate has a Rapidor up for grabs, do I want it... silly question. Where the hell m I going to put that?
That is pretty much where it was when I got it... Today is moving fast, since posting that I've got rid of an old compressor so thats a little bit of room. Shame it's so far from any electricity...
I'll get more foto's of the swag when it's dried out and sorted, amongst the items is a reciprocating saw, it only takes a short hacksaw blade, I said I had never seen one before and the guy said you wont have, It was made by a watchmaker.
