I went back this morning to the olive pruning site and walked around to get an idea of how much firewood there is ...I think maybe two or three more loads ..got into 4x4 and got a good load from one of the more inaccessible places ... that is next winters firewood sorted...

Last night i got this tool kit and a lot of spares, It is a GPO tool roll unsure of the year as i have not had time to look into it yet and it has been a busy week with all the things i have picked up, More pics to follow...

Very nice, brings back memories. The four devices on the bottom right are for measuring the spring in relay blades. You have to put a set in the blades of a specific strength, so you stroke them with a special pair of pliers while giving them a bit of a tweak. The black handled pliers right at the top left, just right of the plastic bag look like the correct ones, but there were several difference ones. Some of the other tools are for twisting the blades etc. I did my relay bashing course at a place called Kineholme in Ilkley around 1980 ish. The instructors get a relay, bend the blades in all directions without kinking them, give you a diagram and the bent relay and tell you to put it back to how it should be. Each blade has two contacts and they have to make contact at the same time with it's opposite number. that was called twinning.

As you know Winchboy collects Britool, a few months ago we found a very nice Gordon tool chest from the 60's, so I bought it and now collect gordon, some sockets and Ratchet are missing so I kept an eye out and found this.
No I am not going to plunder it for the missing bits I will keep it and keep looking for the stuff I need.

Very nice dad has one the same in his stash 1960 is correct I gained a set if whitworth ring spanners off him recently many of his older tools were Gordon I think he still has the catalogue some were

The only prodder mains tester I've been using for years now is the Fluke Voltstick.

More rubbish to the recycling centres.
75% of the trips I was very good, came back empty handed.

But.
The last trip the yard was backed up, so people were hand balling stuff from cars and walking in.
Then as I got there I saw an ex neighbour, we exchanged greetings and stuff like that.
He then kindly donated me his rubbish.

I came home and Mrs TYA is out, I am safe for a bit.

2 long slash cramps, need to be cleaned.
Plus the wooden box underneath, more of that later.

Odd n sod tools and stuff, I can only see the markings on one tap. That is a M10 x 1mm

6 spot/driving lights, all working, looks like they have just sat on a shelf somewhere for a long time.

4 books, brand new.

Now, in that wooden create was a metal decorative railing, old rusty and heavy.

It is now de-rusting.

Winchboy got these 3 snap on screwdrivers today, however there's meant to be a 4th one that is missing, somebody must have one lying around the workshop! The missing screwdriver is a small terminal one, measures about 140mm long. Would be very grateful if anyone found one they want to sell.
