Today i took a Bosch GWS 18-230 from friend, it's works!!!
Was only a ball bearing as for my Hitachi grinder, so i replaced the armature rear bearing that i surprised that it's a 608Z, very little IMHO.
Now i can not upload a Photo because im at home and the grinder it's upstair and here is Hot about 34 celsius and 80% related hummidity, so later when it's colder ill go upstair for the Photo

It's red, silver and made in Italy but alas neither a Ferrari nor a Ducati... used Fridays 10% eBay voucher to buy a FEMI 784XL from Stakesys; didn't get the feee blade they offer if you buy online from them but did save £50. Just run the blade in and I'm impressed do far.

That's a nice setup. Milwaukee made a stand for their Porta Band saws, but they cost prohibitively more than the saw itself.

It isn't actually a setup at all! Just a concrete slab laid atop some old angle iron stand that was knocking around the garden when we moved in. The FEMI will only come out to play as and when needed, else I'll find a shelf for it somewhere in the workshop.

By setup, I meant the FEMI saw unit. Being from across the pond, I sometimes get lost in translation, lol. That is a nice saw you have there for sure !

The odd job man in work has just laid a concrete slab in the lorry park so when it was curing I asked what was happening with the shuttering timber. Yesterday he approached me and said it's yours so long as it's gone by Sunday as he's been having a hard time about crap lying around.
So today, equipped with my trusty Makita battery circular saw and the camper with the bed folded out and the front swivel seat turned sideways saw me coming home with 2 x 6.6m lengths, 2 3.8m lengths and some off cuts of 9x3 planed finishing timber cut into 6 lengths to suit the footprint of my soon to be garage.

Happy with that! That's the bones of the roof sorted.

Hope you have better luck than me with Planning. I was denied building a garage just big enough to house my standard size transporter van with room enough on "one" end for disabled access around it. Said because it was excessively large that it would be harmful to the visual amenity of the neighbours in the community, and this was to replace the unsafe one in the grungy back lane Now I have to reapply all over again and pay another fee. But this time I'm going to get pre planning approval from the local Council before I apply.

I just got this, i know nothing about it other than a quick google, its a Taylor's the 1000 razor. It belonged to my grandad who died in 1991, no idea how old it is though.

I gave it a quick clean up and sharpen/strop, the bald patch on the back of my hand suggests its in working order now.

...just shame I've had a beard since i was 16 really, don't actually have much use for it.

If you want to preserve and keep it, then you will need to make sure that it is kept dry and has a good covering of oil as the high carbon steel in the blades corrodes very easily. Keep it as a memento of your grandad and check on the handles condition occasionally as some of them were made from cellulose which can degrade over time, when it it does it will corrode the steel very quickly due to it releasing an acid when decomposing, the handle will give off a very funky smell, when it does, it will be time to make a new handle for it.

I shaved with these straight razors a few years ago and still do occasionally, started to collect them as well, but had to stop when I ended up with about 35+. Sold off quite a few off them and now just have about 15. Value wise it is what anyone is willing to pay for it ranging from $30 to a one on E-Bay which has been nicely refurbished and asking $120US as in the following image.

I didn't image it was worth anything just a nice memento as you said. And and interesting 'thing' to have in any case. I have considered buying one in the past but i never did as i don't do much shaving.

I also found several of these that i think haven't even been used.

There are people on the web that do have vast collections (400-500) of old shaving gear and are always on the lookout for old razors to add to their collections or even just to restore if the condition isn't too bad, that also includes the safety razors but more so the straight razors (hence the reason the price has skyrocketed up in the past few years).

They also collect the sharpening stones too, to keep the razors sharp, with some stones costing thousands of dollars depending on the grit size, quality, availability and size, although the dearest I have ever paid was about $120 (140x80x13mm) from Japan, and then there are the different soaps, straps and the list goes on. Who knew!!

I put a stop to my acquisitions as I did not need another collection obsession, it's bad enough with tools and machinery!

But keep them and you never know, you might end up starting a collection too.

you should try a front garden one its worse

as goes for your unsafe one you do realise if you repaired or replaced with like for like no planning permission is needed
also note with planning if you making such a big change to its visability it can also get refused
