a blank brick or block wall that they fit windows into is a massive change and possibly change of use
changing a flat roof to a sloping one or at worse changing a sloping roof to an apex roof, id got caught on that whilst being investigated for wood stove and also due to neighbour being ackward as dosnt like it on his property. old houses have silly plans

you can take down a wall and rebuild in the same material deviate from this and it effects the view of the building its also the same with a tar and felt roof change this to a metal roof you can be complained about if it reflects the sun create a apex roof and you cause yourself loads of problems

A mate had his garage passed then he changed the roof to an apex and took it up about another 6 courses so he could have a vehicle lift. He then started doing his dads next door and was reported. The buildings inspector turned up about his dads garage and then said you can apply for retrospective permission for yours too. When he asked why they showed him the photos on some site like google earth and they told him the date that he'd made the change!!!

Funny you should mention, the compound dial on my Bantam is damaged, so I emailed the guy breaking bantams on eBay. Funnily enough, and despite almost all his listings being under £100, he has the part I need in stock, off a used machine - wants £200 for it. I didn’t bother emailing back, pure chancers...

Got a nice 3/4hp vfd and motor unused in the garage.
Nice bit of iron in the lower pulley. Must weigh near 45kg

I picked it up still attached to the leg and slung it in the van. That was heavy.
Decided to remove it to squeeze it in the lockup.

Nothing is siezed. Leadscrew engages.
Tailstock has lost its pin so the barel rotates.
Spindle gear has been replaced with a pulley though.
And no compound.
Was debating a wood lathe but a little small.

Have a few ideas to repurpose it.

Several days ago I acquired a portable power hacksaw with a Brook Crompton motor. I would appreciate if someone could tell me what horsepower it is, or if possible, how to calculate it from the information provided on the label.

What I do know is that he motor is 240 volt, 50 hertz, 1425 rpm, and 2.3 amps, What I haven't been able to find out is what.......
Rated: CR means ?
WO: 180 means ?
