At last, someone else who's done this! Ive spent almost forty years looking for someone else who's tried this marvelous trick! Its superb, from the back of the class I could hit any target anywhere in the room. I highly recommend it!I never set fire to anything but I did put the bunsen burner hose on the water tap. It fires a tiny jet of water a very long way

I don’t doubt for one minute that the car is safely supported, but please please try to avoid putting your head inside the wheel arch.
If it slips off the stands your back will snap like a carrot.

I totally agree with you, There are 2 very heavy duty axle stands under the vehicle i have seen a guy working under a transit just supported by a jack and every 5 minutes they have to jack it back up as the jack was leaking...
i placed the wheels off his van on top of each other and pushed them under the cross member to at least give him a chance.
