a proxon "rotary ratchet"

works like a normal ratchet, but the ratchet can also be driven by twisting the handle - via a 1/4" drive if neccessary.

£23 for the 1/2" size, and seems to have good reviews. We shall see.

My dad has one of those, and raves about it. Admittedly it doesn’t get abused but he hasn’t wrecked it yet.

i've got two or three "normal" 1/2" ratchets. but sometimes, there is just no room to swing the handle at all - even with a couple of universal joints and extensions.
hopefully, this will work for the odd situations like that.
its not going to be an everyday use thing.
got a bahco, and a facom for that.

With bad weather forecast for the weekend, my Wife & I decided to go for a meal at Witherspoon's in the town over the hill from us. While waiting for our meal, I took a quick look in the charity shop just across the street and found these two Record vices ( I think you call them cramps here in the UK ? ), a number 153 and a number 153A.
They are heavy boogers, weigh about 15 lbs each, and the cam jaws open to slightly under 4 inches. Don't know what I'm going to do with them yet, but I couldn't pass them up for £5.oo each.

Both are in good working condition, and the only difference I can see between them is the push plate. I've often found good tools in the Maesteg charity shops.

Today I aquired a puddle of hydraulic fluid and a clutch pedal that pinged to the floor and stayed there.
May also have aquired a 65 plate transit to replace it.
Not happy.

two set of bronze castings for a Wadkin PK sliding table saw double mitre

When completed, they should look a bit like this although the originals are cast iron.

Why bronze? A friend was having some cast in bronze and asked if I wanted some, saved me a job of making a pattern and finding a foundry plus I think it will look cool when completed.

This is a fully working Wadkin PK in operation

Picked these up for a fair sum - $120. Think that’s a good deal though. They’re Gearwrench and have a lockable angle and ratchet on one end.
