Today i acquired for nowt a Stanley 112 scraper plane, covered in filth & rust. Half an hour with wd40 & 400 wet & dry followed by a grey scotchbrite pad it is looking very smart. Good usable tool & aparently quite rare.
Nice acquisition ! A very rare plane indeed. I paid over a hundred dollars for mine, and that was back in the early 1980's , here's a photo.

Nice.
Heart of Beech, stained and lacquered handles.
No go away, you do not make friends that way.
I know . Guess that's why I have no one worthy to leave it all to in my will.

Today, I acquired enough ex pallet wood (pre dismantled), to build my first decent project in ages.
When we got our new front door, I left the hubby to organise everything. Consequently, we have a cat flap sized hole in the front door, which was cut too high for our now elderly cat to cope with a ‘real’ cat flap.
The plan is to close off this hole, and build a tarty step way to the cat flap fitted to the bedroom window (don’t ask). I’ve added my high tech hand drawn plans below.
There is a cat ladder up to a first floor window that I see when waiting at a local set of traffic lights, same idea as yours but each step appears to be bracketed to the wall, an elegant solution if you live in a first floor flat and have an outdoor cat.Today, I acquired enough ex pallet wood (pre dismantled), to build my first decent project in ages.

Carry on with sketches and drawings like that and I could award you a National 5 in Graphic Communication!
You should have seen the first 1/2 dozen drawings.
