they actually only wanted £50 for it parm and i assumed it had issues, it is fully working and in pretty good nick so gave the ton for it and they were very happy, they have two round head colchesters for sale @ £600 each and a nice little viceroy which is just a touch bigger than the boxford, they want £500 for that. nice bunch of blokes.

I bet you can't, but just to rub it in my little John was free and delivered free gratis by the previous owner, he even bought a mate with him to unload it as I wasn't at home

How you lot do it I just don't know.

After a rub down, some wax and linseed oil.
The leather is now soft, the cane has a smooth finish, with a hint of shine.

I've got one very similar to that complete with the screw-on round foot, but my stick seems to be hollow alloy so presumably a later version???

You laugh but in the 60s my grandad bought a walking stick at auction that took his eye got it home it turned out to be shotgun stick apparently a Victorian jobby and sold it to a dealer for a lot more then he paid for it

Very similar I'll ask dad is he's got any more details on it all I can remember is you turn the handle and a little trigger popped out and the resulting sale paid the deposit on his house

They way you described is one of the most common. Some you pulled and twisted the handle and a trigger was exposed.
Some even came in 4/10.
