The big trouble with finding stuff online is that there is no guarantee it is correct. Given the website to which you link has prices in Euros and the company is located in Spain, is there not a small possibility that something has been lost in translation?

At the least, you need to find one or two more places that confirm what you think you have found.

In answer to your specific question, look at item (j) at the very bottom of page 118 and (j) again at the bottom of page 119.

Far be it from me to give advice, but if this is the rulebook against which the vehicle is going to be assessed, would it be a good idea to print it out, keep it with you and refer to it any time there is a design decision to be made?

That worked perfectly for me with a few IVA tests (and SVA before that) for cars.

Even if things may have slipped, fallen off, been adjusted since . . .

That look distinctly like they don't actually make it for the front in the size I need then.

It would have to pass MOT each year though, but then do I get 3 years without MOT, so that may be a plan.

I do not know if it will help. The biggest front tyre I could find was a 160/60R18 by Metzeler Cruisetec or 150/60R17 (Conti Sport). 150 and 160 are common rear sizes so maybe you can find a big-axled rear wheel that suits that tyre size and use it as a front.

There's lots of stuff on Harleys and 'fat front' conversions (5.5" x 18 rim, 180 tyre) but I could not find any tyres to suit. I suspect they are incorrectly using a rear tyre.

I already have the big axled rear wheel: the Hayabusa 17", it's just too big. If I have to buy another I'll do what I really should have done to start with, and buy a suitable front wheel. Then I'll have double discs as well. Thanks for looking though.

You asked about the mot, 3 years after the msva. Unless you refer to the mot tester as an inspector.

No, I mean the SVA tester will probably know that tyres are meant to have directional arrows and 'rear fitment only' type stuff on the sidewalls. And the MOT tester when the time comes.

Sva man yes, mot tester no, in my experience. Someone suggested put a msva tyre on it, then later put the one you want on it..
My 750 hardtail had a Yamaha rice rocket rear wheel on the front, the tyre was labelled with a direction arrow, no more. (This is quite normal). I rubbed the arrow off, no issues. The tyre fitted the wheel, it worked extremely well, everyone’s happy.
If you wanted to, you could just keep the tyre with the arrow forward for the msva, then reverse it later?

So, no progress lately, I'm basically skint after paying all the yearly bills in one go, insurance for bike, car, house, plus a chunk of work on my Mondeo, plus HMRC wanted their cut.

I have found some mudguards though, guy on a Facebook group. For £70 delivered I thought they were well worth a punt. The radius is perfect, but they're about an inch or so too wide I reckon. And they're fairly solidly made too.

Whilst working out how and where to mount them, I dropped the trike down to the bump stops.... and found I have 6" of wheel travel. Obviously the result of using normal stroke type car shocks on the Jag axle, which halves the shock movement. I've ordered some of the Jag type bump stops mentioned by @8ob a few weeks back. I'll splice them in at the right height and go from there. I think the guards will be mounted to the frame, rather than move with the wheels. I'll sort out the shockers later...

I'm having a bit of a blonde moment here, is my trike a motorcycle trike, or non motorcycle trike?
The lighting requirements differ between the two, but I can't work out what mine will come under. Is it something as obvious as having motorcycle style front forks?

My guess would be that a motorcycle trike is a combination, which yours isn't.

I'd say double check, but from what I remember about the changes a few years back according to DVLA it's a weight thing. Below 410kg it's a motorcycle trike, above 410kg but under 3050 and it's a car/none motorcycle trike.

I'm losing the will to live, trying to decipher this MSVA book.

I've been reading about a guy who put twin matching headlights on a motorcycle trike, but that's not allowed, one has to be dip, one has to be high beam, so they swap back and forth. He had to cut wires to get it through the test.
