Finally got round to completing the Harrison M300 Dickson toolholder rack. It's modular so can be expanded as new tool holders acquired but 14 is enough for now...

Gonna stick my finger in the air and guess there’s between 500 and 1000 hours of print time per roll. I put that into the context of saving a fiver and bought “the best” filament I thought prudent (PRUSA).
Depends. I'm using a 1mm nozzle and printing 0.3mm layers with 1.2mm extrusion width and 20% infill. Octoprint says my current print will use 36m+ in 3 hours. The actual print time is more like 3h25m. So 330m on a 1kg spool puts me somewhere in the region of 30h. I chewed through a whole kilo of prusa (plasty mladec) PLA just setting up and calibrating the bloody thing lol.
Edit: Print has just completed. 3h21m to do 36.83m. The maths puts me bang on 30h for 330m (1kg).

I had 10 rolls during the first lockdown as we struggled to get PLA for the visors.
I was not bothered about colour as you were lucky to even get any at all.
They just offered pot luck on colours when they put them online at 9pm Sunday and Wednesday.
As the government put a stop to us supplying the printed visors free so their mates could cash in instead, I have rolls of random colours...lol
But it prints great I found it's not as sticky to the bed with little squish as my other PLA but once you get a decent squish and use 3DLac it sticks really well.

I have just bought a Creative Ender 3 V2. At £235 delivered in 24 hours. Today I assemble it. I have been reading the above posts. Found many interesting post to help me along the learning curve. I am thinking of buying PLA + so I hope its ok.Why did I buy it well at 70 years old I thought that I needed a hobby to keep my brain ticking over and to pass a few hours of the Day. lol

Those were my first thoughts. It is an extraordinary development. I keep making bits and bobs that otherwise really just wouldn't happen.
Like a proper mounting plate for an old Axis webcam.
No more than a simple circle with cutouts.
I was going to make it from aluminium but currently the Bridgeport is in bits and to make it by hand would be fiddly. Also the accuracy required is difficult to achieve to get a good tight fit.
With a 3d printer this unobtainable spare part (costs more than a new camera) can be made in almost no time.

@Hog-Rider Could I respectfully suggest you start off with standard PLA then move onto PLA+ as your experience develops. I’ve heard PLA+ can be harder to achieve good results with.
